Nihon Ju-Jitsu Autumn seminar

it gives me great pleasure to announce the following event :

NJJKR is proud and honoured to announce this, Historic one day jujitsu Masterclass. A great opportunity to train with 3 of the countries leading jujitsu masters from the Old school and the early days of jujitsu in the UK. We are honoured to be able to bring you this fantastic trio of legendary high ranking ,highly respected teachers of the gentle art. Sharing their many years of experience and knowledge in a friendly and open way, beyond politics. Amongst these 3 is Sue king 7th Dan, probably the highest graded female, jujitsu instructor in the UK This 6 hour seminar is open to all regardless of rank, or affiliation.

 

CONFIRMED INSTRUCTORS.

KEN CULSHAW 9TH DAN HANSHI.

I was first honoured to meet ,train and stay with Culshaw Hanshi back in 1992 when i joined jiujitsu international under Richard Morris 10th Dan Hanshi ( RIP ). Culshaw Hanshi first started in jujitsu, in his home City of Liverpool, many years ago and his first instructor was John Blundell, the brother of Bernie Blundell and Soke James Blundell, the British jujitsu Association founder. Culshaw Sensei moved south and trained at the London jujitsu institute in Stoke Newington, for a number of years under the BJJA/WJJF banner and later the jiujitsu international / World Kobudo federation, before he became independent, and in recent years , has moved back to the Wirral , to once again be near his native home of Liverpool. Culshaw Sensei teaches all over the UK and internationally, and we are extremely lucky and honoured to be able to have him teach at this seminar.

ERIC MARSHALL 8TH DAN

Marshall Sensei, first started training in Liverpool during the winter of 1966, His first instructor was named Burt Roberts ,at his Stanley house dojo, but also trained with jack Britain who was one of Yukioi tani’s students, at the alpha jujitsu institute, in the Kensington area of Liverpool and also with Gerald Skyner at his mount pleasant dojo in Liverpool. Skyner himself was a student of Mikonosukr Kawaishi, again one of the first jujitsu instructors to come from Japan, to the UK. Marshall Sensei, eventually Settled and trained at the lowlands as part of the British Jujitsu Association under Soke James Blundell and Robert Clark, amongst others. The Seminar promises to be a great opportunity to meet and get a feel of that Great jujitsu legacy.

SUE KING 7TH DAN.

We are Greatly honoured, to have King Sensei agree to teach on this seminar. She is quite possibly, the Highest graded female jujitsuKa in the Country. Sue has trained for many years in Jujitsu under a range of different instructors from various organisations, King Sensei was Once a Student of Marshal Sensei but now teaches independently via her own organisation – Muga Mushin Ryu,A FEW OTHER HIGH RANKING INSTRUCTORS HAVE BEEN INVITED TO ATTEND BUT, SO FAR THE ABOVE HAVE CONFIRMED,COST FOR THE DAYS TRAINING IS £25 PER PERSON AND IS OPEN TO ALL,REGARDLESS OF ASSOCATION OR GRADE.

 

REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY. PLEASE NOTE THIS DOJO IS ON THE FIRST FLOOR , MAKING DISABLED ACCESS DIFFICULT.
